My Pen and I

Do you remember your fountain pen? Remember again.

About Me

Hello!

My name is Bud Fields. I live and work in Columbia, Tennessee. I am disabled, and a US Army veteran. I have spent many years as a writer, and author. I have also been, for more that fifty years now, an educator (among several other things). I like doing things; lots of things.

Today, I have challenges that are new for me. One of the ways I overcome those challenges is by writing about them. Recently, I re-discovered the wonders of hand writing with a fountain pen. I know, right? I mean, who knew?

The internet knew. Quite by accident, I happened upon a video that was a fountain pen review. I'll tell the story in the blog here, but let's just say it has been a most "interesting" experience that has me re-connected with hand writing with my fountain pens.

My hope is that those who read this blog, and visit this website will join me in a journey of discovery, and re-discovery of the wonders and joys of hand writing with a fountain pen. While that may sound like a rather narrow niche (and not so long ago, I would be saying that before anyone could say it to me!) it isn't.

In the past decade, the fountain pen and the skills and arts of forming letters into meaningful words has re-emerged from the fog of the past into the present in a very powerful way. I am glad to be a part of it. I hope you will be to.

There's much more to this story, but first I must be in it. I hope you will be to, because

Writing is FUN!
